Giving to CALA: Lecture Series

The College’s Lecture Series was established in 1999 to serve as a forum that amplifies the common ground between the arts, humanities and sciences within the diverse constituencies of the College, the University and the community at large. It focuses on the views and projects of respected architects and landscape architects, as well as related practitioners.

Highly attended by the College and community, this Lecture Series offers an opportunity for our students ─ the very people who will impact our professions in the future ─ to listen, learn and dialogue with some of the most sought-after people related to our professions.

It takes $30,000 annually for CALA to maintain this important effort. CALA’s dwindling budget affects the quality of the program. This high-profile Lecture Series can be maintained and enhanced in perpetuity through a named endowment of $750,000, which in turn yields $30,000 annually to support the program. Alternatively, donors may make annual contributions in support of this program ─ the College will promote these individuals or companies as underwriters of the program.

For more information regarding the need listed, as well as additional needs, please contact Patricia Coyne-Johnson, Director of Development & Marketing.
